JOIN THE TEAM

We're looking for people to join our small but growing team.

Attitude and fit with the rest of the team are more important than formal qualifications!

If you have passion and enthusiasm for houseplants, a good work ethic and a positive attitude, we would love to hear from you.

We're looking for a practical and pro-active individual to run the day to day operations at People Plants HQ, aka The Plant Palace. Initially this will consist of straightforward tasks like;

Receiving and labelling plants
Packing online orders
Keeping stock of plants
Organising and maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse

This role is perfect for a self-starter who wants to make a mark in a small but quickly growing business.

As the team grows, there is the opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop the role into a management position for the right candidate.

The role is full-time, from 9 am - 5 pm, five days a week. Salary starts at the real living wage (£9.90/hr) and will increase as you take on more responsibilities.

We're looking for a personable and passionate houseplant enthusiast to run our weekend shop at People Plants HQ.

From May, we will be opening up the doors of our HQ on Saturdays and Sundays so that customers can visit us to browse plants in person and get plant care tips and advice.

Customer service is our highest priority. We aim to help people find the perfect plant for their space and we want to give our customers outstanding support and advice on caring for their plants. However we don't expect you to know everything about every plant and you don't have to be able to pronounce Latin names perfectly! We'd rather have someone who knows where the gaps are in their knowledge (and where to find the correct answer) than someone who pretends to know it all.

The role is part-time, 9 am - 4 pm Friday (prep day), Saturday and Sunday from May until mid September. Salary starts at the real living wage (£9.90/hr).

Once again, attitude and fit with the rest of the team are more important than formal qualifications. If you have passion and enthusiasm for houseplants, a good work ethic and a positive attitude, we would love to hear from you.

People Plants came about because of unique weekend events we called 'Houseplant Extravagnazas' held at the OPEN surfboard factory in St Agnes. The events were a big success, connecting houseplant enthusiasts with thousands of houseplants in a unique location.

This year we're developing that idea by taking our houseplants on the road to new venues. We're calling it the Jungle Cafe Tour, turning independent coffee shops and venues across the South of England into jungles for special one-off weekend events.

We're looking for personable, practical, high energy houseplant enthusiasts to join us on the road for these events. The role will include preparing the plants for each event, unloading plants and dressing the space, meeting and greeting customers and offering advice on plant position and care.

The role is part-time, Friday (prep/travel day), Saturday and Sunday from May until mid September. Salary starts at the Real living wage (£9.90/hr) with food and accommodation provided when we are away from home.

Once again, attitude and fit with the rest of the team are more important than formal qualifications. If you have passion and enthusiasm for houseplants, a good work ethic and a positive attitude, we would love to hear from you.
