The Peperomia Costa Rica is an unusal and decorative houseplant. A cultivar of the Watermelon Peperomia, it has leaves that slightly twist, making them almost heart-shaped. These beautiful leaves have dark and pale green patterns on them - a colouring much like the rind of a watermelon. They also come from deep red stems, which only furthers the likeness.

Please note that this is quite a fragile plant.

_ Arrives in an 11cm nursery pot
_ Great for beginners
_ Semi succulent
_ Overwatering is the most common problem with this plant so make sure that it dries up properly between waterings

Water storing leaves

The leaves store water, making it a fairly drought tolerant plant - perfect if you are a bit of a forgetful owner (although we wouldn’t recommend purposefully underwatering)!

Delicate

This is a delicate and sensitive plant. Pop it in a spot where it won't get knocked and/or disturbed by drafts.

Succulent like

This plant is native to South America and has succulent like qualities (hence the water storing leaves). This gives it a little drought tolerance and makes it a great choice for beginner plant owners.
